The last time we wrote about Furches Performance’s Monte Carlo SS they were just putting the finishing touches on the turbocharged LS4 drivetrain. Since then the company has posted some videos of the car at the drag strip. One its first time out the car went 11.00 sec at 125.98 mph on stock suspension. Clearly there is a lot more left in the tank with a proper setup.
The power being made from the 5.3 L LS4 and 75 mm Borgwarner turbo was enough to break an axle as seen below. After the issues were worked out the car was sold to one really lucky owner at the end of 2015. I sure hope this isn’t the last we see of it.
