1970 Camaro with a LSA

World War Z 1970 Camaro with a 6.2 L LSA V8

This 1970 Camaro is called World War Z and was built by Cyrious Garageworks out of Mississauga, Ontario. The car is powered by a 2013 6.2 L LSA with a 6L90E automatic transmission with SHRIFTER paddle shift controls. The engine has been upgraded with a Brian Tooley Racing Stage 3 camshaft and Lingenfelter supercharger pulley. The engine was swapped using a BRP Muscle Rods kit with a Holley LS swap oil pan and a custom transmission pan. The power-to-weight is increased even more thanks to carbon fiber hood, inner fenders, fender supports, front and rear bumpers. Custom fender flares are coming soon as well. The car gets its very low ride height from a RideTech Stage 2 air system with SPC Performance adjustable upper control arms.

  1. I’m suprised we don’t see more with the LSA. Straight up 556 HP and with the right cam and other internals and the Lingenfelter super charger your talking up to 900 horses. I would venture a guess there is no Camaro that 900 horses couldn’t pull down the street pretty fast…

    1. I think it’s due to the odd place it fills in the LS lineup. It’s not as widespread in its applications as the LS3 or LS1, and it’s not as big of a halo plant as the LS7 or LS9. It’s an odd medium ground, and that doesn’t seem to be to popular with the aftermarket. Combine that with some non-standard type parts and yeah, it’s not a common start point. Shame too, it’s the best of both worlds.
