12-rotor Engine Gets First Dyno Test

Watch as Tyson Garvin’s custom 12-rotor engine begins dyno testing. The engine will continue being tuned with hopes of soon powering an endurance powerboat. Tyson’s current record-holding powerboat features two 480hp Cummins 5.9L diesel engines.

The 12-rotor weighs 830 pounds and displaces 960 cubic inches (15.7L). The potential is there to make huge numbers out of this engine.
