It sounds like we could be seeing a production version of the Cosworth inline-four turbocharged F1 engine sometime soon. Cosworth’s top engineer Andy Ball said they are still developing a 500 BHP 1.6L turbocharged engine for production cars. That’s 312 horsepower per liter. He said they are in talks with several car manufacturers about similar engines. Just think of all the amazing engine swap projects based on a platform like this.
