JTR V8 Swap Conversion Kits

JTR (stands for jaguars that run) started off fitting Chevy V8 engines into Jaguars and publishing a manual on how to do the swap. They also went on to offer swap manuals for the Datsun Z, the Volvo 200 and 700 Series, and the Chevrolet S-10. Their manuals take you step by step through the process of swapping this american muscle. If that wasn’t enough they offer the parts as well.

I purchased the swap mount crossmember and book for the volvo 200 series. I ended up having to do alot of it on my own. The book can be used as reference, however the swap should be played by ear. the measurements for the driveshaft were incorrect and it ended up costing me a total of $800 on drive shafts because the first one was cut too short and it was cut based on the book. word of advise measure. JTRs customer service is crap, but the swap is pretty easy and the book isnt 100% needed but id suggest it for good reading material, the author is a very judgemental person and feels like nothing is worth a damn unless he made it. The book also doesnt let u know that you have to use mounts from an older chevy motor. there are things that u will end up figuring out on your own, and the mount can actually be made easily or purchased through trans dapt as a universal engine mount crossmember for cheaper. like i said the swap was easy and i loved my car i do thank JTR for thier info helping me to fill in some thoughts that i had.
