The truck rides on a 1996 Chevy Blazer with disc brakes front and back. Power comes from a Chevy 350 ci V8 with a Holley 600 cfm carburetor connected to a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission. The truck also has new glass, wiring harness, and radiator. All gauges work except for the fuel capacity.

I agree with Jim. My vision of interesting would be a Ford 5.o liter Coyote and the new 10 speed trans.
It’s a tough call as to what might fit. Ford’s current crop are a lot wider at the top. Not sure about length, but it appears to be an issue, even with the SBC.
I wonder how an Ecoboost 4 or 6 would fit. GM’s got a nice turbo direct injected 4 banger crate motor, too. Maybe a VW VR6 could squeeze in.
Not a bad looking truck. Would drop in a 5.3ls and a 6 speed manual, definitely re-do the interior maybe with buckets and a console and change the dash and instrument cluster. Would try to keep it simple and make it a daily driver.
