This Fiat 125p was originally built by FSO in Poland with a license from Fiat. Although it came with as a four-door sedan with an inline-four some creative Polish builders converted it to a two-door with a lot more power. Every component of the car has been upgraded but the star of the show is the 3.2 L VW VR6 sourced from a VW Golf R32. The engine produces 253 horsepower and 308 Nm (227 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels. Finishing out the powertrain is a five-speed manual transmission and upgraded LSD.

Thanks to this article I now know on what exactly FIAT model LADA-2103 was based on.
Lada 2103 is actually based on Fiat 124 .
Yes, but it looks closer to the 125 than 124, unlike LADA 2101 which was based on 124 as well. Besides 125 had some components from 124 too, like some body panels and the engine.
I, for some reason, have wanted a Lada for years. Maybe one of these days I’ll import one to the US.
FIAT 124,125, Polski Fiat 125P and Lada 2101-2107 (in Russia VAZ) are totally different cars.
Polish Fiat has engine, transmission and suspension out of old Italian Fiat 1300/1500, body and brakes out of Italian Fiat 125.
What transmission did he use to put the VR6 into a rear wheel drive layout? I’m looking to put one in a 32 Ford.
Bimmer ZF with adapter plate, there also fit Volvo Diesel tranny M47/M90 with vr5 adapter.
There is also common to weld VW v6 bell housing to BMW ZF transmission.
