V8 Speed & Resto Shop in Red Bud, Illinois started a new project called “Thunder’s Truck.” A customer approached the team to take a 1969 Ford F-100 truck and do a complete chassis and powertrain swap from a 2002 Ford Lighting truck. The more modern truck’s chassis, suspension, ABS brakes, supercharged 5.4 L V8 and transmission were going inside the classis Ford body. In this episode the team disassembles both trucks and places the classic body over the modern chassis to see what type of modifications it will require.

I wonder is someone done something similar but instead of using Lightining, wrap F-100 body aound Raptor. That would be cool. Someone done it with the Bronco, that was badass.
That would be an amazing project. If it hasn’t been done it eventually will be.
Yes that will be amazing when it is accomplished. Like the company that used early 50’s chevy trucks on chevy trailblazer AWD chassis and an 800 hp Nelson Racing Engine. I about swallowed my tounge when I saw that one…
