In our previous article on Mike Nasiatka’s custom Pontiac Fiero we said Matt Farah wanted to drive it for his One Take series. Well Matt just released the video today and it certainly delivers. Matt really had his experience and courage tested while driving it at Gingerman Raceway. Mike even turned down the boost on the 2.0 L Mitsubishi 4G63 from 700 to around 400 horsepower. Watch and enjoy the test drive that made Matt want a shot of liquor afterwards.

That thing looks like my kind of fun! Seems undriveable in the corners though, I wonder what sort of front to rear weight bias he is running. Looks like he went for a road racer but with boost lag like that and such sudden boost it almost seems useless on a road track. I’d be willing to bet it’d be much more impressive with slicks.

In chatting with Mike, he stated that he usually runs the car between the 4k and 8k RPM range when on the track, keeping the turbo spooled up. Matt kept letting the RPM drop allowing the turbo to wind down.
