1959 Austin Lancer with a twin-compound turbocharged Buick V6

Tony’z Garage in Victoria, Australia specializes in turbocharging Holden V6 and V8 engines. Their experience is on display with this 1959 Austin Lancer. The car runs a Series I Buick V6 with stock internals from a Holden Commodore and uses a twin-compound turbo system. That’s four turbochargers in total, with the smaller turbos run at about 8-10 psi and the larger turbos runs at 14 psi for a total of about 23-24 psi total of boost. The engine produces 402 horsepower (300 kw) which doesn’t sound like a lot running four turbos but then again engine is completely stock.
