2010 Camaro with LSX 454

Redline Motorsports has received one of the first three LSX454 engines from GM Performance Parts and decided to swap it into a black 2010 Camaro SS. Although the engine costs $11,625 the LSX crate engine delivers 640 horsepower and 576 torque stock. Take a listen to the sound in the video below.

Mini with Nissan 300ZX V6 engine swap

Built to entertain children this 1962 Austin Mini has a nitrous injected 375 horsepower Nissan 300ZX V6 engine. The five-speed transmission is also from a 300ZX. The rear suspension and differential is from a 240SX. This build took roughly 4 years (4,000 hours) and $8,000 to build. The Mini won the Ebay Motors Master 2009 Tuner Champion and Castrol GTX December Winner.

Nissan 300ZX with Skyline RB26DETT

1990 Nissan 300ZX with RB26DETT engine swap

Russ Tennyson decided to keep it all in the family when he choose the RB26DETT to swap into his 1990 Nissan 300ZX. The engine was built and installed by MA-Motorsports and was switched to a single Garrett GT35R turbocharger. At 14 psi the car dynoed at 426 horsepower. Other upgrades include a JUN crankshaft, JUN cam gears, GReddy Type-R blow-off valve, 650cc RC fuel injectors, Aeromotive fuel regulator, MA-Motorsports intake manifold and custom dual exhaust.

The outside if finished off with Desmond Regamaster 17-inch wheels, TEIN Flex coilovers, MA-Motorsports custom aluminum bushings and a JUN body kit.

DeLorean with 2JZ engine swap

DeLorean’s came with a calm 2.8L V6 which is why it took so much distance for Marty to reach 88 mph. This DeLorean has no such problem thanks to the swapped turbocharged 2JZ. Currently the owner is still working out all the bugs but hopes soon to get it into the 11’s.

Fiero Community Helps Teen with Cancer

Although this is not an engine swap story I still wanted to put it up. The story talks about how the Fiero.com community helped a young man with terminal cancer fix his Fiero so he could drive it. This story is very heart warming and shows how great the car enthusiast community can be. Although we might prefer specific types of cars or trucks, we can all appreciate the enjoyment another person can have from working on and driving their favorite ride.

This pro-street style 240SX appears to have a LSx with T-56 six speed. Commenters over at Speedhunters have said this car runs a stock LS1 and is getting mid 12’s in the 1/4.
